| PTFE Syringe Filter |
PTFE or Polytetrafluoroethylene syringe filters are most commonly used in filtration of organic solvent with strong chemical causticity, strong acid solvent filtration, alkali solvent filtration, particle removal filtration and gas sterilized filtration. PTFE filter are known for their broad range of chemical compatibility. They are generally chemically stable and strongly hydrophobic. Owing to their strong hydrophobic nature , these filters do not wet in water but wet well in low surface tension liquids like organic solvents such as alcohols but once it has been wet, aqueous solutions can easily pass through it. These filters are designed with a Female Luer-Lok inlet and Male Luer slip outlets.
